Our Communitea Centre
Our Communitea Centre is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. It is a service-led space for people to meet, talk, have a cuppa, and support each other. To take part in activities such as Arts & Crafts, Bingo, Board Games, and movie shows. The Centre has rooms available for use by groups, organisations, and activity providers, who need a local, accessible venue. Want to hold a meeting or a group training session? Our Conference room can be laid out to suit your requirements.
We are available to provide advice, and support people on their Mental Health journey. Our staff have lived experience, either personally, or as carers, making them able to empathise and have an understanding of the difficulties people present to us with. We organise Advocacy and advice sessions by other professionals.
Mental Health Support Line
Staffed by people with lived experience, trained in Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, and Suicide Awareness. We work closely with Tees Esk Wear Valley NHS trust, York CCG, North Yorkshire Police, Crisis teams, and CMHT, and have worked to connect with other charities and organisations, so that, working together, we can source the relevant support. We are there for a supportive, non-judgemental chat, and act as a connection to professional help services.
