We offer mental health support for Selby and the surrounding areas. Why not give us a call? Our phone line is open from 7 pm – 10 pm, 365 days of the year.

Call us on (01757) 642 399. If you call before our phone lines are open and we cannot answer you will be diverted to an NHS Helpline.

Here at The Big Communi-tea, we offer a low-level intervention service. Our network is made up of individuals from the local community. Some of these individuals have lived experience of a range of mental health conditions.

We work using a peer-to-peer support model, and we want everyone we are in contact with to feel a part of the local community.

It is our aim to help people access a range of organisations and services that offer support to those who are vulnerable. Additionally, we encourage local support networks to offer help to those in Selby and the surrounding areas.

Training

We offer training to businesses and individuals who support those with mental health difficulties. When the training is complete, businesses who have taken part will be given a window decal. When displayed, this decal tells people that they are Mental Health Aware, and are happy to offer a hot drink and a chat if they are needed.

Regular Activities

As soon as we are able, we will begin offering regular activities. We plan to offer a range of different activities such as art sessions, knitting, workshops, and more. We have also considered offering advocacy services and Citizens Advice sessions.

Whether you are looking for Brayton mental health services, or support elsewhere, we are here to help you. We are here to offer a hot drink and a sympathetic chat to those who are lonely or in need of support. Tea and a chat? we can help with that.
