Trail mix is usually comprised of seeds, dried fruit, and nuts. You can also add dark chocolate to your trail mix should you wish to. If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, you’ll be pleased to know that you can find dairy-free dark chocolate in most supermarkets.

(You don’t always have to buy chocolate from the “free-from” range to find dairy-free chocolate. “Regular” dark chocolate might not contain any dairy and it’s likely to be cheaper than products in the “free-from” range.)
