Our lives have become a lot busier. We want to do things quicker than ever before, and we want to be more productive than ever before. Having great time management skills are very desirable both at home and work. But do these management skills really work? do they have any impact on productivity?

It appears that they don’t.

The biggest impact is actually on our well-being.

Many time management studies took place between 2000 and 2010, this showed that more and more people were interested in time management. However, the studies ultimately showed that they had a more positive impact on well-being than anything else. What this means is that while time management can help you to feel more productive, the result is that you feel better about managing time than actually managing it.

Some people put a lot of effort into time management. It might be that this effort that helps them to feel better. Perhaps they feel more in control of the situation. Regardless of whether they try to manage their time at work or home, people feel much better when they know what to do and when to do it.
