Anyone that struggles with their mental health should know they are not alone. Many people have mental health concerns, some of them brought on by the pandemic.

No matter why you’re struggling with your mental health, help is available. Why not have a chat with someone over a tea or coffee?

Talking about how you’re feeling is a good way to take charge of these feelings and accept them.

We offer mental health support for Selby and the surrounding areas. Why not give us a call? Our phone line is open from 7 pm – 10 pm, 365 days of the year.

Did you know that simply telling someone how you feel can result in more mental health support? Knowing that you have someone to talk to can make a lot of difference.

Not everyone finds it easy to talk about how they feel. However, the tips you can find below could prove to be helpful:

  • When you struggle to find the right words to say, use a lot of words
  • Talk about your hobbies, mention how your feelings and thoughts have affected your hobbies
  • Talk about how your head is feeling. You could use words like “Noisy”, “Empty” “Full” etc.
  • Mention what kind of support you think you need. If you want to speak to your doctor, ask someone to accompany you if it will help

You might soon start to find that talking about how your feeling is becoming easier.

You can get Selby mental health support from your doctor and local organisations. If you’re not feeling ready to speak to your doctor just yet, why not talk to someone over a cup of tea?

We believe that you can achieve a lot by talking over a tea or coffee. Talking can make a big difference to your mental health. Why not talk to someone today?
