We’ve all seen those movies and TV programmes that assure us we’ll be happy if we’re in a relationship. In fact, hardly a day goes by where we aren’t told that we’ll be happier if we have a significant other. While this may be true for some people, it’s not true for everyone. If you’re feeling sad that you’re single, the good news is you don’t have to be in a relationship to be happy.

Go on an adventure

Why not visit a museum, art gallery, or the cinema on your own? You don’t need to have someone with you to enjoy yourself. Take yourself out for a day and go shopping, enjoy a meal, or walk around a park. Chances are you’ll really enjoy yourself.

Examine Your Values

Think about your values and what you want from life. What is it that makes life meaningful for you? explore these things and you could grow as a person or rethink what you want from life.

Pursue New Skills

Single people tend to have a lot more time to pursue new skills and hobbies. Spend more time indulging yourself in your hobbies and exploring the things you enjoy. You could even take a class should you wish to pursue your hobbies a little further.
