A study that took place at Kansas State University showed that when someone is respected and valued by their boss they are more adaptable in the work place. When young people feel respected, they become more loyal, happier, and they’re more engaged in their work.

The study that involved more than 1,000 young adults, found that they dealt with challenges at work much more easily. In addition to this, they were more likely to stay with the company.

The study also showed that the ethnicity or gender of the participants had no difference in the outcome. However, there was a difference in the field that they worked in. Those who worked in computing had a lot more respectful engagement than those who worked in sales, healthcare, education, or retail.

If you have more supportive colleagues and supervisors, your job satisfaction and engagement. The results of the study show that those of us who are happy at work are unlikely to look elsewhere. There are many different workplaces out there, however, when there is mutual respect and appreciation, it makes a difference to how young people feel at work.
