Mood-Boosting Recipes: Purple Fruit Salad

Recent research has shown that red grapes could help to reduce depression. 

Blackberries are thought to help reduce incidences of mental decline and they can help to reduce anxiety and depression.

Blueberries are known for being really good for you. But did you know that they can help to reduce depression by boosting serotonin levels? In addition to this, the delicious berry also works as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. 

Plums are an excellent source of nutrients such as vitamins A, C, K, potassium, copper, and manganese. Thought to help boost your mood, this delicious fruit can also help to lower blood sugar levels. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of seedless red grapes, halved
  • 1 cup of halved blackberries or whole blueberries 
  • 1 cup of diced plums
  • 1 cup of live yogurt (optional)

Method:

Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Add the live yogurt and stir again. Alternatively, add a few spoonfuls of the yogurt on top of the fruit.

Place any leftovers in the fridge and eat within 24 hours.
