Defining what pleasure is can be hard to do, possibly because it seems so easy. Many philosophers have studied the pleasures of the mind and body. They all seem to have different opinions about what pleasure is, but their opinions don’t mean they are right.

One way to define pleasure is to view it as the absence of physical and emotional pain. This is something that Epicurus, a Greek philosopher once said. Epicurus’s work continues to be used as a way of defending a person’s pursuit of pleasure.

Many people choose to spend time in nature as a way of feeling good. They may choose to spend time in nature as a way of calming themselves, reducing stress, or by simply spending time away from other people.

Pleasure in Your Life

What gives you pleasure in your life, and what is the common link between those things that give you pleasure? If pleasure can be found by taking a walk, calling someone you love, or by thinking about your next holiday, these are things we should do as often as we can. The happier we are with life, the less likely we are to struggle with what the world throws at us.

No matter who we are, we can all find pleasure even in the smallest of things.
