Whether your friends, family, or doctor are supporting you or if you’re getting help online, it’s important that you make yourself heard. When you make yourself heard you’re more likely to get the support that you need.

We offer mental health support for Selby and the surrounding areas. Why not give us a call? Our phone line is open from 7 pm – 10 pm on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Call us on (01757) 642 399. If you call before our phone lines are open and we cannot answer, you will be diverted to an NHS Helpline.

Learn About Your Mental Health Condition

Try to learn a little more about your mental health, and any conditions that you’re suffering from such as anxiety. Read books, watch videos or go online and see what the NHS, for example, says about anxiety. When you know a little more, you might know where and who to ask for help.

Look for Support

Perhaps your doctor or a counsellor could offer you some support. You might also want to consider talking to a family member or friend that you can trust.

Consider What you Need

What do you need from those who are supporting you? Knowing what to ask for means you could get the right support. Please note, not everyone can offer you the support you need.

Don’t Rely Too Much on One Person

Rather than relying on one person, try to create a support network. There is always someone who is willing to help. Speak to your doctor, people online, friends, or family. There is help available.
