At The Big Communitea we believe nobody should have to face mental health struggles alone. That is why our volunteer Craig Lewis has taken on an incredible challenge.
Craig is walking from John O’Groats to Land’s End, a journey of around 1,000 miles over 85 days, to raise £10,000 for The Big Communitea.
This is much more than a walk. It is about making sure we can continue to support people who are struggling with their mental health, loneliness, financial hardship and other difficult times.
Why it Matters
Every day people come through our doors looking for someone to listen. Many have nowhere else to turn. We provide a safe and welcoming place where people can get support before they reach crisis point.
The money Craig raises will help us continue to provide:
- A safe place for people to visit
- Mental health support and listening volunteers
- Community activities that reduce loneliness
- Practical help and advice
- Support for people when they need it most
Every pound raised stays in our local community and helps us continue changing lives.
Every Step Counts
Craig has already walked hundreds of miles through some of the toughest parts of the country. He has battled the weather, sore feet and exhaustion, but he keeps going because he knows how important this charity is to so many people.
Every mile he walks is helping to give hope to someone who may need our support tomorrow.

How You Can Help
Craig may be doing the walking, but together we can help him reach his £10,000 target.
Whether you donate, share his story or simply cheer him on, you are helping The Big Communitea continue supporting people when they need it most.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Craig so far. Together we can make a real difference, one step at a time.
